On this page
Quran Gallery lets you read the Qur’an as page scans of 23 printed muṣḥaf editions. They cover the Ḥafṣ, Warsh, Qālūn, al-Dūrī and Shu’bah riwāyāt, with layouts from 12 to 16 lines per page where the edition’s name states it. This page lists each edition by the name the app shows. The same list is on the gallery page, /quran/mushaf. It was checked on 2026-11-01 and the gallery can grow, so the app has the final list.

The order follows the gallery. Name, riwāyah and pages are what each gallery card prints. Lines per page is filled in only when the edition’s name says it. The app keeps no separate line count, so a dash means the app does not state it.
- Page counts are the number of scan pages in the edition, so a print can show more pages than it has pages of Qur’an text.
- On the Naskh Taleek font card the riwāyah line reads “Naskh with annotation”. That names a script style, not a riwāyah; the app shows it as it is recorded.
- Cards marked HD come from higher-resolution scans (source images at least 1,100 pixels wide).
Why the editions differ
A riwāyah is one transmitted way of reciting the Qur’an. Printed editions of different riwāyāt can differ in details of the written text, and every print sets its own page layout, so page counts and lines per page vary between prints. The gallery lists them side by side and ranks none of them.
Open an edition
- From the gallery. Open /quran/mushaf and click a cover. The reader opens in Scan mode on that edition, at Al-Fātiḥah. Ctrl-click or ⌘-click opens the link in a new tab and leaves your settings alone.
- From the reader. In Scan mode open Preferences, choose the Muṣḥaf tab and tap the edition row to browse the library.
What happens to your place when you switch
If the new edition paginates like the reader’s own muṣḥaf, you stay on the same page. Otherwise the reader opens the first page of the surah you were in, and the app shows a short message saying which surah it is continuing from. Your position inside the surah is not carried between editions that paginate differently.
For zoom, single and two-page views and tapping a verse, see Reading the muṣḥaf (Scan mode).
