Starting or joining a session
How to create a room, share your invite link, and set up your camera and microphone before you enter a call.

Creating a new session
Open qurangallery.com/meet and click New session. A fresh room is created and you land on the setup screen immediately — no sign-in required.
To invite others, copy the link from the address bar (or use the Copy invite link button inside the room) and send it however you like — message, email, or any other channel. Anyone who opens the link goes straight to the same room.
Joining an existing session
If someone sent you a link, open it directly. Your browser takes you to the setup screen for that room.
If you only have a room code, go to qurangallery.com/meet, paste the code into the Room code or link field, and click Join.
Setting up before you enter
The setup screen appears before you enter the room. It gives you a camera preview of how you will look, and lets you choose your devices and display name.
Your name
Type a name in the Your name field. This is what other participants see on your tile. The field is pre-filled with your Quran Gallery display name if you are signed in.
Camera and microphone
Two buttons appear at the bottom of the camera preview:
- Microphone button — the icon turns red and shows a crossed-out microphone when muted. Tap to mute or unmute before joining.
- Camera button — the icon turns red when your camera is off. Tap to turn it on or off.
When the camera is off, the preview shows your initials instead of a video feed.
Choosing a different device
If your computer has more than one camera or microphone, dropdown menus appear in the form panel beside the preview so you can pick the one you want before joining.
Blocked permissions
If your browser has blocked camera or microphone access, you will see a Camera and microphone are blocked notice. You can still join the session — select Join now and then allow access from your browser’s address bar or settings to turn them on once you are inside.
Entering the room
Click Join now. You enter the room and your microphone and camera publish immediately (based on what you set on the setup screen).
If you land on a “Video sessions aren’t available yet” screen, video calls aren’t available in this space yet. This is a temporary state — check back soon.
