Schools of thought & special modes

The chatbot can tailor how it answers. You can pick a School of Thought for fiqh-related questions, and you can switch on special modes for specific topics.

School of Thought

The School of Thought selector lets you frame answers within one of the four Sunni madhabs, or keep things general:

Option	When to use it
General	A broad answer not tied to one madhab. The default.
Hanafi	Answers oriented to the Hanafi school.
Maliki	Answers oriented to the Maliki school.
Shafi’i	Answers oriented to the Shafi’i school.
Hanbali	Answers oriented to the Hanbali school.

Choosing a madhab helps the answer reflect that school’s positions where rulings differ. Even so, madhab-specific rulings are exactly the kind of question where you should confirm with a qualified scholar before acting — see the disclaimer on the overview page.

Special modes

The same menu that holds the School of Thought options has a second group below a divider, headed Radd (Refutation). These modes shape the conversation around a particular subject. Use one when your question sits squarely within that topic. Picking a mode replaces the madhab choice for that conversation; clearing it returns you to the selected School of Thought.

Radd (Refutation)

Everything in this group frames the conversation as a respectful, evidence-based response to a specific set of ideas — debate and refutation, rather than a standard fiqh answer. Khatm-e-Nabuwat sits in this group, alongside the three refutation topics:

Mode	Focus
Khatm-e-Nabuwat	The finality of Prophethood. When it’s on you’ll see Khatm-e-Nabuwat mode active.
Atheism & Doubt	A reasoned response to atheism and doubt.
Islamic Socialism	A reasoned response to Islamic socialism.
Liberalism & Progressivism	A reasoned response to liberalism and progressivism.

These modes are designed for clear, factual discussion grounded in the same authentic sources the chatbot uses elsewhere. As with every answer, treat the response as guidance and verify the references for yourself.
