Rijāl is a place to read, and reading asks nothing of you. This page explains the one thing an account is for — keeping your own list of narrators — and is honest about what’s available today versus what’s still being built.

Reading needs no account

The good news first: everything in Rijāl is free to read without signing in. Browsing the library, opening a work, searching within it, reading an entry, and paging through the original scans all work whether or not you have an account. Nothing is gated behind a login.

What an account is for

A Quran Gallery account lets the suite remember things for you across devices. Your sign-in is shared everywhere — if you’re already signed in to the Qur’an Reader or another Quran Gallery app, you’re signed in here too.

Saving narrators — coming soon

Keeping a personal shortlist of the narrators and works you’re studying — so you can return to them later from any device — is on the way but not available yet. When you see a coming soon note in the app, this is part of what it’s pointing to.

The deeper study tools are arriving alongside it:

• A personal list of saved narrators and works.
• Reliability gradings (jarḥ wa taʿdīl) gathered side by side.
• Teacher–student chains and comparison across multiple books.

When these arrive, your account is what carries them — so the work you do reading now is never lost. Until then, the original sources stay open to everyone, with no sign-in required.
