1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Quran Gallery ("we", "our", "the Service") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform. Quran Gallery includes multiple products: Quran (reading and study), Chat (AI-powered Q&A), Studio (Islamic artwork design), and Blog (educational content).

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive and store:

• Name — your display name from your Google account.
• Email address — used as your unique identifier.
• Profile photo — displayed across the platform.

Product Data

• Chat messages — the questions you ask and AI responses generated in the Chat product.
• Conversations — organized collections of your chat messages.
• Reading progress — bookmarks and progress data from the Quran reader.
• Design projects — artwork and configurations you create in Studio.
• Context data — conversation memory used to provide coherent follow-up responses in Chat.

Usage Data

• Basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the Service.
• Rate limiting data (request counts per time window) to prevent abuse.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain all Quran Gallery products (Quran, Chat, Studio, Blog).
• To generate contextually relevant AI responses in Chat and Studio.
• To save your reading progress, bookmarks, and design projects.
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• To send newsletter updates about the Service.
• To monitor and prevent abuse through rate limiting.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored using the following infrastructure:

• PostgreSQL — our primary database for all persistent data (accounts, conversations, reading progress, design projects), hosted on our self-managed server.
• Cloudflare R2 — object storage for user-generated artwork from Studio and uploaded media.

Traffic is transmitted over HTTPS. Cloudflare sits in front of our servers as a CDN/DNS proxy.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth — for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• AI Processing — to generate responses in Chat and artwork in Studio. Your inputs are processed by our AI system.
• Resend — for sending newsletter emails. Your email address is shared with Resend.
• Cloudflare — hosting, database, and edge network infrastructure.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual conversations from the Chat interface and remove design projects from Studio. Deleted data is soft-deleted and may be permanently removed after a retention period.

7. Newsletter Communications

By creating an account, you are automatically subscribed to our newsletter. Each newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link that allows you to opt out at any time. We use Resend to manage newsletter delivery.

8. Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

• Session cookie — to keep you signed in across products.
• Theme preference — stores your light/dark mode choice locally.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — your conversations, reading progress, and design projects are visible within each product.
• Delete your data — delete conversations, bookmarks, and projects within the app, or request full account deletion via email.
• Unsubscribe from newsletters at any time.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us to have it removed.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
