The Rijāl home page is a library of the classic biographical books of the tradition. Open it at qurangallery.com/rijal. Works are grouped by genre, and each one is a doorway into thousands of narrator biographies.
Browsing by genre
The home page lays the works out in genre sections. A genre groups books that share an approach — for example Ṭabaqāt, the works that arrange narrators by generational “classes,” starting with the Companions and moving forward in time. Each genre section shows its name in Arabic and in transliteration, with a View all link to see every work in it on one page.
The library grows over time. It opens with the Ṭabaqāt genre and Ibn Saʿd’s foundational collection; more genres and works are added as they are prepared. If the library looks sparse, that’s simply because more is on the way.
Reading a work card
Every work appears as a card carrying its essentials at a glance:

| Title | The work’s title in Arabic, with its transliteration beneath. |
| Author | Who wrote it (shown in Arabic), with their year of death in the Hijri calendar (for example, 230 AH). |
| Entries | How many narrator biographies the work contains. |
| Volumes | How many volumes (ajzāʾ) the work is divided into. |

Opening a work
Opening a work takes you to its work page, where you can read its full details and start moving through it — by volume, or by searching its narrators. The web address of a work is readable and stable, so you can link to it or bookmark it; Ibn Saʿd’s collection, for instance, lives at qurangallery.com/rijal/library/tabaqat-al-kabir.

Finding your way back
Every page inside the library carries a breadcrumb trail at the top — Home, then the work, then the volume or page you are on. Select any step to go back up a level. It’s the quickest way to move from a single narrator back out to the whole work or the library home.
