Saving, exporting, and sharing

Once a design is ready, you can keep it, download it in a usable format, or send it to someone. This page covers all three.

Saving

Save your work with Ctrl+S at any time. When you’re signed in, the top bar shows a small save indicator next to the design name, so you can tell at a glance whether your latest changes are saved.

What “save” does depends on whether you’re signed in:

• Signed in — Ctrl+S stores the design on your account and adds it to My Designs. It’s available on any device. Saving again updates that same design.
• Guest — Ctrl+S downloads a copy of your design to your computer. Guest work isn’t stored on an account, so download anything you want to keep, and sign in when you want it saved to My Designs.

A few related shortcuts:

Ctrl+N	Start fresh on a blank canvas (asks first, so you don’t lose unsaved work).
Ctrl+O	Open a design file you saved earlier.

Version history

Each time a signed-in design is saved, Studio keeps a snapshot, so your earlier versions build up automatically as you work. Deleting a design moves it to Trash in My Designs, where you can restore it — and its version history is kept.

Save often. Because each save adds to your design’s history on your account, your work is protected as you go.

Exporting (downloading an image or document)

Click Export in the bottom bar to download your design in a usable format. Choose a format, set the options, then Export.

Format	Best for
PNG	Sharp graphics; supports a transparent background.
JPG	Photos and smaller files; adjustable quality.
WebP	Modern, compact images; supports transparency.
PDF	Printing and documents.
SVG	Scalable vector output that stays crisp at any size.
PSD	Editing in a layered image editor.
Video (MP4)	An animated export (available when your design includes animation).

Depending on the format, you can also set:

• Quality — for JPG and WebP.
• Resolution — export at higher resolution for crisp, large, or print-ready output.
• Transparent background — for PNG and WebP.
• Export selection only — export just the element you’ve selected, instead of the whole canvas.
• Watermark — overlay your own watermark text, with adjustable opacity and position.

You can also Copy the design to your clipboard from the Export dialog (for image formats) and paste it straight into a chat or document.

Sharing

There are two ways to share, for two different needs.

Share an image (from the editor)

Click Share in the editor to send your design as a picture:

Option	What it does
Share to WhatsApp	Opens your device’s share sheet on mobile, or WhatsApp on desktop, with the image ready to send.
Download image	Saves a high-resolution image of the design.
Copy image	Copies the image so you can paste it into a chat or document.
Add to your website	Gives you a small snippet of web-page code. It isn’t a live embed — you host an exported image of your design yourself, then replace the placeholder address in the snippet with your image’s address.

This is the fastest way to get a finished picture to someone.

Share a link (from My Designs)

To let someone view your design online — and make their own copy of it — share a link. This is for signed-in designs.

1. Go to My Designs.
2. On the design, open its menu and choose Share link.
3. A dialog shows the link with a Copy button. Anyone with the link can view the design and save their own copy.

To stop sharing, open the same menu and choose Stop sharing — the link stops working immediately.

What the recipient sees

When someone opens your shared link, they land on a view of the design showing its preview, name, and size. From there:

• Signed in, they can choose Save a copy & edit — a copy lands in their own My Designs and opens in the editor. Their edits never touch your original.
• Not signed in, they can open the design in the editor to look at it, and sign in if they want to save their own copy.

A shared link is view-and-copy, not edit-together. Recipients can’t change your design — they get their own independent copy to work from. Your original stays private to you until (and unless) you share it.

Managing your designs

My Designs (signed in) is the home for everything you’ve saved. For each design you can:

• Rename it,
• Make a copy,
• Share link / Stop sharing,
• Delete it (moves to Trash), and
• Restore it from Trash if you change your mind.

Open any design to keep editing it — your changes save back to that same design, building up its version history as you go.
