Listen to recitations of the Holy Quran from renowned reciters around the world. Browse the full directory, open any reciter to see the surahs they have recorded, and play any surah straight away. Start at /reciters.

Browsing reciters

The reciters page lists every reciter in the catalog as a card showing the name and the riwāyah they recite. To narrow the list, type into Search reciter… — the results filter as you type. Tap any card to open that reciter.

Opening a reciter

A reciter’s page shows their name, a short introduction, and how many surahs and riwāyāt are available, followed by a list of all the surahs they have recorded. Each row shows the surah number, its name, the English translated name with the verse count (for example “The Opener · 7 verses”), the surah’s calligraphic Arabic name, an icon for where it was revealed, and a Sajdah badge on chapters containing a prostration verse.

• All · Makkan · Madinan filters the list by revelation place; the counter next to the filters shows how many surahs are listed.
• Search Surah… matches the surah name, its transliteration or translation, the Arabic name, or the surah number.
• Tap any row to start playing it. The player appears at the bottom of the screen.
• The ⋮ menu on each row holds everything else: Play next, Add to queue, Add to playlist, Favorite, and Go to Surah (the surah’s own page). A small filled heart appears on rows you have favorited.

Not every reciter has recorded every surah. The list shows only the surahs that reciter actually has, so what you see is always available to play.

Switching riwāyah

Some reciters have recorded the Quran in more than one riwāyah (recitation transmission). When a reciter has more than one, a dropdown appears on their page — choose a riwāyah and the surah list updates to that recording. A reciter with a single riwāyah simply shows its name. The single-surah page

Each recitation also has a dedicated page at …/reciter/<reciter-name>/<surah-name> — open it from the row’s ⋮ menu → Go to Surah (or middle-click / long-press the row). Playback starts automatically, and the page gives you:

Action	What it does
Play / Pause	Start or pause the recitation.
Favorite	Save (or unsave) this recitation to your favorites.
Download	Save the audio to your device to listen offline.
Share	Share a link to this recitation, or copy it.

Below the player you will find details about the surah — its revelation place, number of verses, rukūʿ count, and the order in which it was revealed — plus Previous and Next links to step through the surahs in order without leaving the reciter.

Finding a reciter from anywhere

The home screen also opens directly into a reciter-and-surah browser: pick a reciter in the side list, choose a surah, and it plays. Switching there stays in sync with the player, so you can keep exploring while audio continues.
