Audio Tafsir

Tafsir is the explanation of the Quran’s meaning. In Listen, Tafsir is audio — recorded lessons in which a scholar walks through the Quran chapter by chapter. Browse the collections at /tafasir.

Browsing Tafsir collections

The Tafsir page lists every available collection as a card marked Audio Tafsir, each one a complete commentary by a particular scholar. Type into Search Tafsir… to filter the list, then tap a card to open the collection.

Inside a collection

A collection’s page shows its name, how many chapters are available, and a grid of chapter cards numbered by surah. Tap any chapter to start listening — the player appears at the bottom of the screen. You can also open a chapter on its own dedicated page, which starts playing automatically and offers a large Play / Pause button and a Download button to save that lesson for offline listening.

Playing through chapters

Audio Tafsir plays through the same player as recitations, with the controls that suit a recorded lesson:

Control	What it does
Play / Pause	Start or pause the commentary.
Scrub	Drag the progress bar to any point.
Playback speed	Slow a detailed explanation down, or speed it up.
Sleep timer	Stop playback automatically after a set time.
Volume	Set the level, or mute.

To save a Tafsir lesson for offline listening, open the chapter on its own dedicated page — you will find a Download button there. The persistent player does not offer a Download option for Tafsir.

Audio Tafsir is organized by scholar, not by reciter — the riwāyah and reciter choices apply to Quran recitation, not to Tafsir lessons.
