Getting started

The first time you open qurangallery.com/nazira, Nazira walks you through a short welcome so it can set up the right path for you. It takes under a minute, and you can change every choice later.

The welcome flow

You’ll answer a few quick questions:

Step	What you choose
Where are you starting?	Pick the level that fits you: Getting started (new to Arabic letters), Conversational reader (you read short words and āyāt), or Advanced (I want tajweed polish and passages).
What’s your focus?	Choose what you most want to work on: Arabic letters, tajweed rules, recitation flow, or memorisation support. You can change it anytime.
Daily goal?	Set how much you’d like to practise each day. This is a floor, not a ceiling — you can always do more.

Tap Start learning to finish and land on your learning path.

You can move Back at any step using the arrow at the top, and a progress bar shows how far through the welcome you are.

Choosing a daily goal

The goal is measured in minutes per day:

Casual	5
Regular	10 (recommended)
Serious	15
Intense	20

Pick the one you can keep up with. A goal you hit every day beats an ambitious one you miss — the streak rewards consistency, not marathon sessions. You can change this later from Settings.

The learning path

After the welcome, you arrive on the Learn tab — your home screen. At the top is a Today’s goal card with a ring that fills as you practise and a row of dots tracking your streak. Below it is the path itself: a winding trail of lesson nodes grouped into units and levels.

Each node on the path is a single lesson. The node tells you its state at a glance:

Node looks like…	Meaning
A glowing node marked Start	Your current lesson — tap it to begin.
A coloured sparkle node	An unlocked lesson, ready when you reach it.
A green node with a check	A lesson you’ve completed.
A node with a crown	A boss lesson — the last, slightly tougher lesson of a unit.
A greyed-out node with a lock	Still locked — finish the lesson before it to open it.

Starting your first lesson

Tap the glowing Start node at the top of the path. A lesson opens with its own screen: a progress bar across the top, your remaining hearts on the right, and one exercise at a time in the middle.

Answer each exercise, then tap Continue to move on. When you finish the last exercise, you’ll see a Lesson complete screen with your XP, accuracy, and streak. Tap Continue there to return to the path — and the next lesson will be unlocked.

Moving around the app

A bar at the bottom of the screen lets you jump between the four main areas:

League	The weekly leaderboard. See Streaks, XP & League.
You	Your profile, stats, and achievements. See Profile & settings.

Saving your progress

You can use Nazira without an account — your streak, hearts, and finished lessons are kept in your browser on this device. Signing in with your Quran Gallery account connects your Nazira activity to your Quran Gallery identity. Cross-device sync is coming and will let your progress follow you to other devices; it isn’t available yet.
