بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
عَنِ
ٱلنَّبَإِ
ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
٢
The momentous announcement
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
ٱلَّذِي
هُمۡ
فِيهِ
مُخۡتَلِفُونَ
٣
about which they differ.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
كـَلَّا
سَيَعۡلَمُونَ
٤
They will find out.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
ثُمَّ
كـَلَّا
سَيَعۡلَمُونَ
٥
In the end they will find out.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
أَلَمۡ
نَجۡعَلِ
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
مِهَٰدٗا
٦
Did We not make the earth smooth,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ
أَوۡتَادٗا
٧
and make the mountains to keep it stable?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ
أَزۡوَٰجٗا
٨
Did We not create you in pairs,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَجَعَلۡنَا
نَوۡمَكُمۡ
سُبَاتٗا
٩
give you sleep for rest,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَجَعَلۡنَا
ٱلَّيۡلَ
لِبَاسٗا
١٠
the night as a cover,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَجَعَلۡنَا
ٱلنَّهَارَ
مَعَاشٗا
١١
and the day for your livelihood?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَبَنَيۡنَا
فَوۡقَكُمۡ
سَبۡعٗا
شِدَادٗا
١٢
Did We not build seven strong [heavens] above you,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَجَعَلۡنَا
سِرَاجٗا
وَهَّاجٗا
١٣
and make a blazing lamp?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَأَنزَلۡنَا
مِنَ
ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِ
مَآءٗ
ثَجَّاجٗا
١٤
Did We not send water pouring down from the clouds
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لِّنُخۡرِجَ
بِهِۦ
حَبّٗا
وَنَبَاتٗا
١٥
to bring forth with it grain, plants,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَجَنَّٰتٍ
أَلۡفَافًا
١٦
and luxuriant gardens?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّ
يَوۡمَ
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
كَانَ
مِيقَٰتٗا
١٧
A time has been appointed for the Day of Decision:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
يَوۡمَ
يُنفَخُ
فِي
ٱلصُّورِ
فَتَأۡتُونَ
أَفۡوَاجٗا
١٨
a Day when the Trumpet will sound and you will come forward in crowds,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَفُتِحَتِ
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
فَكَانَتۡ
أَبۡوَٰبٗا
١٩
when the sky will open up like wide portals,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَسُيِّرَتِ
ٱلۡجِبَالُ
فَكَانَتۡ
سَرَابًا
٢٠
when the mountains will vanish like a mirage.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّ
جَهَنَّمَ
كَانَتۡ
مِرۡصَادٗا
٢١
Hell lies in wait,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لِّلطَّٰغِينَ
مَـَٔابٗا
٢٢
a home for oppressors
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لَّٰبِثِينَ
فِيهَآ
أَحۡقَابٗا
٢٣
to stay in for a long, long time,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لَّا
يَذُوقُونَ
فِيهَا
بَرۡدٗا
وَلَا
شَرَابًا
٢٤
where they will taste no coolness nor drink
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِلَّا
حَمِيمٗا
وَغَسَّاقٗا
٢٥
except one that is scalding and dark––
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
جَزَآءٗ
وِفَاقًا
٢٦
a fitting requital,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّهُمۡ
كَانُواْ
لَا
يَرۡجُونَ
حِسَابٗا
٢٧
for they did not fear a reckoning,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَكَذَّبُواْ
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
كِذَّابٗا
٢٨
and they rejected Our messages as lies.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَكُلَّ
شَيۡءٍ
أَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُ
كِتَٰبٗا
٢٩
We have recorded everything in a Record.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَذُوقُواْ
فَلَن
نَّزِيدَكُمۡ
إِلَّا
عَذَابًا
٣٠
‘Taste this: all you will get from Us is more torment.’
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّ
لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
مَفَازًا
٣١
For those who were aware of God there is supreme fulfilment:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
حَدَآئِقَ
وَأَعۡنَٰبٗا
٣٢
private gardens, vineyards,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَكَوَاعِبَ
أَتۡرَابٗا
٣٣
nubile, well-matched companions,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَكَأۡسٗا
دِهَاقٗا
٣٤
and an overflowing cup.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لَّا
يَسۡمَعُونَ
فِيهَا
لَغۡوٗا
وَلَا
كِذَّٰبٗا
٣٥
There they will hear no vain or lying talk:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
جَزَآءٗ
مِّن
رَّبِّكَ
عَطَآءً
حِسَابٗا
٣٦
a reward from your Lord, a fitting gift
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
رَّبِّ
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
وَمَا
بَيۡنَهُمَا
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۖ
لَا
يَمۡلِكُونَ
مِنۡهُ
خِطَابٗا
٣٧
from the Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between, the Lord of Mercy. They will have no authority from Him to speak.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
يَوۡمَ
يَقُومُ
ٱلرُّوحُ
وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
صَفّٗاۖ
لَّا
يَتَكَلَّمُونَ
إِلَّا
مَنۡ
أَذِنَ
لَهُ
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
وَقَالَ
صَوَابٗا
٣٨
On the Day when the Spirit and the angels stand in rows, they will not speak except for those to whom the Lord of Mercy gives permission, who will say only what is right.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
ذَٰلِكَ
ٱلۡيَوۡمُ
ٱلۡحَقُّۖ
فَمَن
شَآءَ
ٱتَّخَذَ
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّهِۦ
مَـَٔابًا
٣٩
That is the Day of Truth. So whoever wishes to do so should take the path that leads to his Lord.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّآ
أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ
عَذَابٗا
قَرِيبٗا
يَوۡمَ
يَنظُرُ
ٱلۡمَرۡءُ
مَا
قَدَّمَتۡ
يَدَاهُ
وَيَقُولُ
ٱلۡكَافِرُ
يَٰلَيۡتَنِي
كُنتُ
تُرَٰبَۢا
٤٠
We have warned you of imminent torment, on the Day when every person will see what their own hands have sent ahead for them, when the disbeliever will say, ‘If only I were dust!’
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
