- 580–581
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ
عَصۡفٗا
٢
violently storming,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ
نَشۡرٗا
٣
scattering far and wide,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ
فَرۡقٗا
٤
separating forcefully,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ
ذِكۡرًا
٥
delivering a reminder,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
عُذۡرًا
أَوۡ
نُذۡرًا
٦
as a proof or a warning:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّمَا
تُوعَدُونَ
لَوَٰقِعٞ
٧
what you are promised will come to pass.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَإِذَا
ٱلنُّجُومُ
طُمِسَتۡ
٨
When the stars are dimmed
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَإِذَا
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
فُرِجَتۡ
٩
and the sky is torn apart,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَإِذَا
ٱلۡجِبَالُ
نُسِفَتۡ
١٠
when the mountains are turned to dust
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَإِذَا
ٱلرُّسُلُ
أُقِّتَتۡ
١١
and the messengers given their appointed time––
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لِأَيِّ
يَوۡمٍ
أُجِّلَتۡ
١٢
for what Day has all this been set?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لِيَوۡمِ
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
١٣
The Day of Decision.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَمَآ
أَدۡرَىٰكَ
مَا
يَوۡمُ
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
١٤
What will explain to you what the Day of Decision is?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
١٥
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
أَلَمۡ
نُهۡلِكِ
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
١٦
Did We not destroy the first [of them]?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
ثُمَّ
نُتۡبِعُهُمُ
ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
١٧
We shall make the last follow them:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
كَذَٰلِكَ
نَفۡعَلُ
بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
١٨
this is how We deal with the guilty.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
١٩
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
أَلَمۡ
نَخۡلُقكُّم
مِّن
مَّآءٖ
مَّهِينٖ
٢٠
Did We not make you from an underrated fluid
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ
فِي
قَرَارٖ
مَّكِينٍ
٢١
which We housed in a safe lodging
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِلَىٰ
قَدَرٖ
مَّعۡلُومٖ
٢٢
for a determined period?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَقَدَرۡنَا
فَنِعۡمَ
ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ
٢٣
We determine [it]: how excellently We determine!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٢٤
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
أَلَمۡ
نَجۡعَلِ
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
كِفَاتًا
٢٥
Did We not make the earth a home
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
أَحۡيَآءٗ
وَأَمۡوَٰتٗا
٢٦
for the living and the dead?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَجَعَلۡنَا
فِيهَا
رَوَٰسِيَ
شَٰمِخَٰتٖ
وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم
مَّآءٗ
فُرَاتٗا
٢٧
Did We not place firm, lofty mountains on it and provide you with sweet water?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٢٨
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ
إِلَىٰ
مَا
كُنتُم
بِهِۦ
تُكَذِّبُونَ
٢٩
They will be told, ‘Go to that which you used to deny!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ
إِلَىٰ
ظِلّٖ
ذِي
ثَلَٰثِ
شُعَبٖ
٣٠
Go to a shadow of smoke!’ It rises in three columns;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
لَّا
ظَلِيلٖ
وَلَا
يُغۡنِي
مِنَ
ٱللَّهَبِ
٣١
no shade does it give, nor relief from the flame;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّهَا
تَرۡمِي
بِشَرَرٖ
كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ
٣٢
it shoots out sparks as large as treetrunks
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
كَأَنَّهُۥ
جِمَٰلَتٞ
صُفۡرٞ
٣٣
and as bright as copper.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٣٤
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
هَٰذَا
يَوۡمُ
لَا
يَنطِقُونَ
٣٥
On that Day they will be speechless,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَلَا
يُؤۡذَنُ
لَهُمۡ
فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ
٣٦
and they will be given no chance to offer any excuses.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٣٧
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
هَٰذَا
يَوۡمُ
ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ
جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ
وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
٣٨
[They will be told], ‘This is the Day of Decision: We have gathered you and earlier generations.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَإِن
كَانَ
لَكُمۡ
كَيۡدٞ
فَكِيدُونِ
٣٩
If you have any plots against Me, try them now.’
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٤٠
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّ
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
فِي
ظِلَٰلٖ
وَعُيُونٖ
٤١
But those who took heed of God will enjoy cool shade, springs,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَفَوَٰكِهَ
مِمَّا
يَشۡتَهُونَ
٤٢
and any fruit they desire;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
كُلُواْ
وَٱشۡرَبُواْ
هَنِيٓـَٔۢا
بِمَا
كُنتُمۡ
تَعۡمَلُونَ
٤٣
[they will be told], ‘Eat and drink to your hearts’ content as a reward for your deeds:
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
إِنَّا
كَذَٰلِكَ
نَجۡزِي
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
٤٤
this is how We reward those who do good.’
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٤٥
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
كُلُواْ
وَتَمَتَّعُواْ
قَلِيلًا
إِنَّكُم
مُّجۡرِمُونَ
٤٦
[You may] eat and enjoy yourselves for a short while, evildoers that you are.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٤٧
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَإِذَا
قِيلَ
لَهُمُ
ٱرۡكَعُواْ
لَا
يَرۡكَعُونَ
٤٨
When they are told, ‘Bow down in prayer,’ they do not do so.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَيۡلٞ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
٤٩
Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَبِأَيِّ
حَدِيثِۭ
بَعۡدَهُۥ
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
٥٠
In what revelation, after this, will they believe?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
