What is Nazira?

Nazira (نَاظِرَة) is the practice of reading the Qur’an directly from the muṣḥaf — looking at the words and reciting them. The Nazira app turns that practice into short, game-like lessons, one small step at a time. Open it at qurangallery.com/nazira.

Instead of a textbook, you get a path of bite-sized lessons. Each lesson is built from the actual words of the Qur’an — you tap, match, and arrange real Arabic words and their meanings until reading them feels natural. You earn points, keep a daily streak, and climb a path of surahs you already hear in your daily prayers.

You don’t need any prior Arabic. You also don’t need an account to start — you can begin a lesson straight away, and sign in later to save your progress across devices.

What you’ll learn

The whole journey is anchored in Juz 30 (the last part of the Qur’an) plus Al-Fātiḥah and Āyat al-Kursī — the passages most people want to read first because they recur in prayer. Across the three levels you build up:

• Recognising words — match an Arabic word to its meaning, and a meaning to its word.
• Reading in sequence — pick the word that comes next, fill in a missing word, and put a scrambled āyah back in order.
• Reading whole āyāt — by the end of a unit you’ve read every word of a surah several times, from different angles.

Every lesson draws on a word-by-word reading of the Qur’an, so the Arabic you see and the meanings you learn are faithful to the text.

How learning is structured

Nazira is organised as a path you climb:

Layer	What it is
Level	A tier of difficulty — Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.
Unit	One surah (or Āyat al-Kursī), made of a handful of lessons.
Lesson	A few minutes of short exercises covering a small range of āyāt.
Exercise	A single tap-or-arrange question inside a lesson.
