This page walks you from an empty canvas to your first finished element. The whole flow happens in the editor at qurangallery.com/studio/editor.

Start a new design

When you open Studio you land on a welcome screen with quick actions:

ActionWhat it does
New DesignOpens a blank canvas ready to build on.
From TemplateScrolls down the welcome screen to the ready-made template categories you can start from.
Verse CardOpens a blank editor — open the Quran panel from the left sidebar to drop in a verse.
ImportOpens the editor so you can bring in your own content.

Pick whichever fits. If you’re not sure, choose New Design — you can always add a template or verse afterwards.

Designs you save to your account live in My Designs — open one from there any time to keep editing. See Saving, exporting, and sharing.

The first time you open the editor you’ll see a short Welcome card with a few quick tips, and a hint on the canvas pointing you to the left sidebar. Dismiss them with Got it once you’re oriented.

Starting from a template vs. blank

  • Blank canvas gives you a clean artboard at your chosen size. Best when you have a specific layout in mind.
  • Template gives you a finished design you can edit — swap the text, change colours, replace images. Best when you want a head start or some inspiration. Open the Templates panel from the left sidebar at any time to browse.

Everything in a template is editable: click any piece to select it, then change it like any other element.

Set your canvas size

Your canvas (also called the artboard) is the area your design lives on. To set its size, open Canvas Size from the bottom bar. You can:

  • Choose a preset — common sizes for social posts, stories, prints, and more.
  • Enter custom dimensions — type a Width and Height (in pixels), then Apply.

Dimensions can be anywhere from 1 to 10,000 pixels per side. Pick the size that matches where the design will be used — for example a square for a feed post, or a tall canvas for a phone wallpaper.

Not sure what size to use? Start with a preset close to your goal — you can change the canvas size later without losing your work.

Add your first element

With a canvas ready, add something to it from the left sidebar:

  1. Add text — open the Text panel and click to add a text box, then type. (Or press T.) See Text and typography.
  2. Add a verse — open the Quran panel, choose a surah and a verse range, and select Add to canvas. See Quran and Islamic content.
  3. Add a shape — open the Elements panel and click a shape or line. (Or press R for a rectangle, O for a circle.)
  4. Add a photo — open the Media panel: its Library tab searches stock images, and its Uploads tab holds images you add yourself.

Click any element on the canvas to select it. Drag it to move it, drag the corner handles to resize, and use the rotate handle to turn it. The matching tools for whatever you’ve selected appear in the top bar.

Save your work

When you’re happy, save it:

  • Signed in: press Ctrl+S to save. It’s stored on your account and appears in My Designs. A small save indicator in the top bar shows whether your latest changes are saved.
  • Guest: press Ctrl+S to download a copy of your design to your device. Guest work isn’t stored on an account, so download anything you want to keep before you leave.

That’s the full loop — create, add, arrange, save. From here, explore the full editor tour.
