وَٱلضُّحَىٰ

الضحى The Morning Hours

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلَّيۡلِ
إِذَا
سَجَىٰ
٢
and by the night when it grows still,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
مَا
وَدَّعَكَ
رَبُّكَ
وَمَا
قَلَىٰ
٣
your Lord has not forsaken you [Prophet], nor does He hate you,
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ
خَيۡرٞ
لَّكَ
مِنَ
ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
٤
and the future will be better for you than the past;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَلَسَوۡفَ
يُعۡطِيكَ
رَبُّكَ
فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ
٥
your Lord is sure to give you so much that you will be well satisfied.
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
أَلَمۡ
يَجِدۡكَ
يَتِيمٗا
فَـَٔاوَىٰ
٦
Did He not find you an orphan and shelter you?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَوَجَدَكَ
ضَآلّٗا
فَهَدَىٰ
٧
Did He not find you lost and guide you?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَوَجَدَكَ
عَآئِلٗا
فَأَغۡنَىٰ
٨
Did He not find you in need and make you self-sufficient?
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
فَأَمَّا
ٱلۡيَتِيمَ
فَلَا
تَقۡهَرۡ
٩
So do not be harsh with the orphan
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَأَمَّا
ٱلسَّآئِلَ
فَلَا
تَنۡهَرۡ
١٠
and do not chide the one who asks for help;
M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
وَأَمَّا
بِنِعۡمَةِ
رَبِّكَ
فَحَدِّثۡ
١١
talk about the blessings of your Lord.
