Verses
- 50:27 Qaf ۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ and his [evil] companion will say, ‘Lord, I did not make him transgress; he had already gone far astray himself.’
- 53:2 An-Najm مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ Your companion has not strayed; he is not deluded;
- 54:24 Al-Qamar فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ they said, ‘What? A man? Why should we follow a lone man from amongst ourselves? That would be misguided; quite insane!
- 54:47 Al-Qamar إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ truly the wicked are misguided and quite insane––
- 56:49 Al-Waqi'ah قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ Say [Prophet], ‘The earliest and latest generations
- 56:50 Al-Waqi'ah لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ will all be gathered on a predetermined Day
- 56:51 Al-Waqi'ah ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ and you who have gone astray and denied the truth
- 56:52 Al-Waqi'ah لَـَٔاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ will eat from the bitter tree of Zaqqum,
- 56:53 Al-Waqi'ah فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ filling your bellies with it,
- 56:54 Al-Waqi'ah فَشَـٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ and drink scalding water,
- 56:55 Al-Waqi'ah فَشَـٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ lapping it like thirsty camels.’
- 56:56 Al-Waqi'ah هَـٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgement.
- 62:2 Al-Jumu'ah هُوَ ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ فِى ٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ It is He who raised a mes-senger, among the people who had no Scripture, to recite His revelations to them, to make them grow spiritually and teach them the Scripture and wisdom––before that they were clearly astray––
- 62:3 Al-Jumu'ah وَءَاخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا۟ بِهِمْ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ to them and others yet to join them. He is the Almighty, the Wise:
- 67:9 Al-Mulk قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ كَبِيرٍ They will reply, ‘Yes, a warner did come to us, but we did not believe him. We said, “God has revealed nothing: you are greatly misguided”.’
- 67:29 Al-Mulk قُلْ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ Say, ‘He is the Lord of Mercy; we believe in Him; we put our trust in Him. You will come to know in time who is in obvious error.’
- 68:26 Al-Qalam فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ but when they saw the garden, they said, ‘We must have lost our way!
- 69:9 Al-Haqqah وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَـٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.
- 71:24 Nuh وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًا ۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَـٰلًا They have led many astray. Lord, bring nothing but destruction down on the evildoers!’
- 98:1 Al-Bayyinah لَمْ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ Those who disbelieve among the People of the Book and the idolaters were not about to change their ways until they were sent clear evidence,
