You fled without looking back while the Messenger was calling out to you from behind, and God rewarded you with sorrow for sorrow. And so, because they rejected Our signs and paid them no heed, We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea
- 7:204 Al-A'raf وَإِذَا قُرِئَ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَأَنصِتُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ so pay attention and listen quietly when the Quran is recited, so that you may be given mercy.’

It is He who made the night so that you can rest in it and the daylight so that you can see- there truly are signs in this for those who hear.
Today We shall save only your corpse as a sign to all posterity. A great many people fail to heed Our signs.’
We tell you [Prophet] the best of stories in revealing this Quran to you. Before this you were one of those who knew nothing about them.
