Protection in the Grave
Al-Mulk is known as the surah that protects its reciter from the punishment of the grave. The Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged its nightly recitation.
Sovereignty and Purpose
The surah opens with the declaration that all sovereignty belongs to Allah, and that life and death were created as a test to see who is best in deeds.
Signs in Creation
It draws attention to the perfection of creation — the seven heavens, the stars, the birds held aloft — as evidence of divine power and design.
