Today in Nes’, Fajr at 5:50 AM, Sunrise at 8:10 AM, Dhuhr at 11:51 AM, Asr at 12:50 PM, Maghrib at 3:18 PM and Isha at 5:39 PM, in local time (Moscow Standard Time).

Prayer times for Nes’ follow the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation method by default. If your local mosque follows another method, you can choose that one instead.

The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation method used for Nes’ sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon before sunrise, and Isha when it is 15° below the horizon after sunset.

Prayer-time sources can differ in calculation method, Asr time and high-latitude rule, and some round times or add a few minutes of caution. These times for Nes’ use the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation method with the Standard Asr time; with the same settings, other sources usually come within a minute or two.

The times for Nes’ use the Standard Asr time. Asr begins when an object's shadow equals its own length, added to its shadow at solar noon. This is the view of the Shafiʿi, Maliki and Hanbali schools. The alternative is Hanafi. Asr begins when an object's shadow is twice its own length, added to its shadow at solar noon. This is the view of Abu Hanifa, followed by the Hanafi school. You can switch to it if your mosque follows it.

For nights when the usual Fajr or Isha time cannot be reached, prayer times for Nes’ use the One seventh of the night rule. On nights when the sun does not sink as far as the method's twilight angle, Fajr is no earlier than one seventh of the night before sunrise and Isha no later than one seventh of the night after sunset. The Moonsighting Committee applies it above 55° latitude.

The times are worked out for the location of Nes’ with the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation method and given to the minute. A printed timetable can differ by a minute or two because it rounds times or adds minutes of caution; a bigger gap usually means a different method, Asr time or high-latitude rule.

From Nes’, the Qibla, the direction of the Kaaba in Makkah, is 186° measured clockwise from true north. A magnetic compass points to magnetic north, which can differ from true north, so correct for it when using one.
