Sources: the classical texts behind the calculator

Every test case names the text its expected shares were checked against. These are the works, school by school.

Each work is listed under the school it belongs to; the Qurʾān and works outside a single school come first. The count is the number of test runs, in any school, that cite the work.

A reference marked “shamela:” gives the book number in al-Maktaba al-Shāmila and, where present, the page in Shāmila's own numbering; the tag next to a work shows it has such a reference. The full citation for every case is on the validation page.
