- 36:29 Ya-Sin إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَـٰمِدُونَ there was just one blast, and they fell down lifeless.
- 36:49 Ya-Sin مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ But all they are waiting for is a single blast that will overtake them while they are still arguing with each other.
- 36:53 Ya-Sin إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ It was just one single blast and then- lo and behold!- they were all brought before Us.
- 37:19 As-Saffat فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ Just one blast and––lo and behold!––they will look
- 37:20 As-Saffat وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ and say, ‘Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgement.’
- 37:21 As-Saffat هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ [It will be said], ‘This is the Day of Decision, which you used to deny.
- 38:15 Sad وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٍ all the disbelievers here are waiting for is a single blast that cannot be postponed.
- 49:2 Al-Hujurat يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَرْفَعُوٓا۟ أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَلَا تَجْهَرُوا۟ لَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَـٰلُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ believers, do not raise your voices above the Prophet’s, do not raise your voice when speaking to him as you do to one another, or your [good] deeds may be cancelled out without you knowing.
- 54:31 Al-Qamar إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَكَانُوا۟ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ We released a single mighty blast against them and they ended up like a fencemaker’s dry sticks.
- 63:4 Al-Munafiqun ۞ وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَقُولُوا۟ تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ ۖ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌ ۖ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ هُمُ ٱلْعَدُوُّ فَٱحْذَرْهُمْ ۚ قَـٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ When you see them [Prophet], their outward appearance pleases you; when they speak, you listen to what they say. But they are like propped-up tim-bers––they think every cry they hear is against them––and they are the enemy. Beware of them. May God confound them! How devious they are!
- 79:13 An-Nazi'at فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ But all it will take is a single blast,
- 79:14 An-Nazi'at فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ and they will be back above ground.
- 80:33 'Abasa فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ When the Deafening Blast comes––
- 80:34 'Abasa يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ the Day man will flee from his own brother,
- 80:35 'Abasa وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ his mother, his father,
- 80:36 'Abasa وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ his wife, his children:
- 80:37 'Abasa لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ each of them will be absorbed in concerns of their own on that Day-
- 80:38 'Abasa وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ on that Day some faces will be beaming,
- 80:39 'Abasa ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ laughing, and rejoicing,
- 80:40 'Abasa وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ but some faces will be dust-stained
- 80:41 'Abasa تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ and covered in darkness:
- 80:42 'Abasa أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفَرَةُ ٱلْفَجَرَةُ those are the disbelievers, the licentious.
