Verses
- 6:85 Al-An'am وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَ ۖ كُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ Zachariah, John, Jesus, and Elijah- every one of them was righteous-
- 37:123 As-Saffat وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ Elijah too was one of the messengers.
- 37:124 As-Saffat إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ He said to his people, ‘Have you no fear of God?
- 37:125 As-Saffat أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ How can you invoke Baal and forsake the Most Gracious Creator,
- 37:126 As-Saffat ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ God, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?’
- 37:127 As-Saffat فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ but they rejected him. They will be brought to punishment as a consequence;
- 37:128 As-Saffat إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ not so the true servants of God.
- 37:129 As-Saffat وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ We let him be praised by succeeding generations:
- 37:130 As-Saffat سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ ‘Peace be to Elijah!’
- 37:131 As-Saffat إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ This is how We reward those who do good:
- 37:132 As-Saffat إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ truly he was one of Our faithful servants.
