Ayat
- 2:231 Al-Baqarah وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ سَرِّحُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ ۚ وَلَا تُمْسِكُوهُنَّ ضِرَارًا لِّتَعْتَدُوا۟ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَقَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُۥ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا ۚ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْحِكْمَةِ يَعِظُكُم بِهِۦ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ When you divorce women and they have reached their set time, then either keep or release them in a fair manner. Do not hold on to them with intent to harm them and commit aggression: anyone who does this wrongs himself. Do not make a mockery of God’s revelations; remember the favour He blessed you with, and the Scripture and wisdom He sent to teach you. Be mindful of God and know that He has full knowledge of everything.
- 9:82 At-Tawbah فَلْيَضْحَكُوا۟ قَلِيلًا وَلْيَبْكُوا۟ كَثِيرًا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ Let them laugh a little; they will weep a lot in return for what they have done.
- 11:71 Hud وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ قَآئِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهَا بِإِسْحَـٰقَ وَمِن وَرَآءِ إِسْحَـٰقَ يَعْقُوبَ His wife was standing [nearby] and laughed. We gave her good news of Isaac and, after him, of Jacob.
- 23:110 Al-Mu'minun فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ But you kept on laughing at them: so intent were you on laughing at them that it made you forget My warning.
- 27:19 An-Naml فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِّن قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَـٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ Solomon smiled broadly at her words and said, ‘Lord, inspire me to be thankful for the blessings You have granted me and my parents, and to do good deeds that please You; admit me by Your grace into the ranks of Your righteous servants.’
- 38:63 Sad أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ and took as a laughing-stock? Have our eyes missed them?’
- 43:47 Az-Zukhruf فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ but when he presented Our signs to them, they laughed,
- 43:57 Az-Zukhruf ۞ وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ When the son of Mary is cited as an example, your people [Prophet] laugh and jeer,
- 43:58 Az-Zukhruf وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَـٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ saying, ‘Are our gods better or him?’- they cite him only to challenge you: they are a contentious people-
- 53:43 An-Najm وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ that it is He who makes people laugh and weep;
- 53:59 An-Najm أَفَمِنْ هَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ Do you [people] marvel at this?
- 53:60 An-Najm وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ Why do you laugh instead of weeping?
- 53:61 An-Najm وَأَنتُمْ سَـٰمِدُونَ Why do you pay no heed?
- 80:38 'Abasa وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ on that Day some faces will be beaming,
- 80:39 'Abasa ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ laughing, and rejoicing,
- 83:29 Al-Mutaffifin إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ The wicked used to laugh at the believers––
- 83:30 Al-Mutaffifin وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ they would wink at one another when the believers passed by them,
- 83:31 Al-Mutaffifin وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ joke about them when they got back to their own people,
- 83:32 Al-Mutaffifin وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ and say, when they saw them, ‘These people are misguided,’
- 83:34 Al-Mutaffifin فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ so today the believers are laughing at the disbelievers
