- 21:69 Al-Anbya بَرْدًۭا قُلْنَا يَـٰنَارُ كُونِى بَرْدًا وَسَلَـٰمًا عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ But We said, ‘Fire, be cool and safe for Abraham.’
- 24:43 An-Nur بَرَدٍ أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُزْجِى سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُۥ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَـٰلِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن جِبَالٍ فِيهَا مِنۢ بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَصْرِفُهُۥ عَن مَّن يَشَآءُ ۖ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِۦ يَذْهَبُ بِٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ Do you not see that God drives the clouds, then gathers them together and piles them up until you see rain pour from their midst? He sends hail down from [such] mountains in the sky, pouring it on whoever He wishes and diverting it from whoever He wishes- the flash of its lightning almost snatches sight away.
- 38:42 Sad بَارِدٌ ٱرْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ ۖ هَـٰذَا مُغْتَسَلٌۢ بَارِدٌ وَشَرَابٌ ‘Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink,’
- 56:44 Al-Waqi'ah بَارِدٍ لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ neither cool nor refreshing.
- 78:24 An-Naba بَرْدًۭا لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا where they will taste no coolness nor drink
