- 7:60 Al-A'raf قَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ but the prominent leaders of his people said, ‘We believe you are far astray.’

I am delivering my Lord’s messages to you and giving you sincere advice. I know things from God that you do not.

We saved him, and those who were with him, on the Ark and We drowned those who rejected Our revelations- they were wilfully blind.
Do you find it so strange that a message should come from your Lord, through a man in your midst, to warn you? Have they never heard the stories about their predecessors, the peoples of Noah, Ad, Thamud, Abraham, Midian, and the ruined cities? Tell them the story of Noah. He said to his people, ‘My people, if my presence among you and my reminding you of God’s signs is too much for you, then I put my trust in God. Agree on your course of action, you and your partner-gods- do not be hesitant or secretive about it- then carry out your decision on me and give me no respite.
But they rejected him. My people, who could help me against God if I drove the faithful away? Will you not take heed?
