Quran Gallery Changelog
July 2026
July was Studio’s month: one editor with every tool, a rebuilt text panel with thousands of effects, fonts that really load, Arabic and tajweed that render right, and saving that keeps every page.
Studio's editor rebuilt: text effects, fonts, saving you can trust
Everything this month happened in Studio, the design app for Quran verses, posters and social images. It now has a single editor: everything the old one could do came across, and it gained new tools on top — a pen for drawing your own curves, combining shapes, one design turned into many pages from a list of data, and resizing that keeps logos in their corners.
Text got the most attention. The Text panel was rebuilt around clear heading and body styles and a gallery of about 3,800 ready-made effects, each of which you can now fine-tune setting by setting. Text can be filled or backed with gradients, patterns, textures or photos, shadows stack in layers, letters can animate one at a time, and nearly 2,000 Google font families now change your text when you pick them.
The month closed on trust. Save now stores every page of your design in your account, never saves an empty canvas, and stops two open tabs from overwriting each other. Typed Arabic reads right-to-left, tajweed colours are drawn by the tajweed font itself, and phones and tablets can pinch to zoom.
In short
- Studio has one editor that does everything, with export to PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, PDF, Photoshop or video.
- About 3,800 text effects you can customise down to every outline, shadow and bevel.
- Save now keeps every page of a multi-page design and never lets one tab overwrite another.
- Arabic typed in Studio reads right-to-left, and tajweed verses show their true colours.
Studio saves what you made, all of it
Design Studio
- Save in Studio now does what it says: it stores your design in your account, and every page of a multi-page design is kept — before, a five-page design could come back with one page. If you're signed out, Studio holds on to your work while you sign in and finishes the save when you return.
- Saving is always your choice — the Save button, File › Save or ⌘S — and an empty canvas is never saved as a design. If the same design is open in two tabs, Studio refuses the save that would quietly overwrite the other tab instead of losing work.
- Your design's name now sits in the top bar; click it to rename. Save as… makes a separate copy under a name you choose, My Designs opens as a side panel so you can open, rename, duplicate, share or restore designs without leaving the canvas, and New design starts a truly blank page.
- Each page tab has its own menu to rename, duplicate or delete that page, and deleting asks you to confirm by page name. Applying a template no longer saves over the design you had open before it.
- Tajweed verses now show their proper colours, drawn by the tajweed font itself, so letters stay joined the way they should — and the verse preview shows the colours too. Arabic typed into a text box now reads right-to-left instead of appearing in reversed word order.
- Nearly 2,000 Google font families in the Fonts drawer now change your text when you pick them, and you can filter fonts by English, Arabic or Urdu. Curved text can now bend downwards as well as up, from the same slider.
- On phones and tablets you can pinch with two fingers to zoom and pan the canvas, and multi-page designs now show their page strip on small screens. Photos from the library land sized to fit the page, the image Filter panel shows 18 previews of your own photo, and image backgrounds accept gradients.
Text in Studio, rebuilt from the ground up
Design Studio
- The Text panel now offers heading, subheading and body styles shown at their real size, plus a searchable gallery of about 3,800 ready-made text effects. Effects appear on the canvas straight away, even on your first click.
- Pick a text effect and a Customize drawer opens beside it with every setting that effect has — colours, outlines, 3D depth, bevel, up to four shadows — and a button to reset it. A new Style panel lays the same choices out in clear tabs for filling, outlines and shadows.
- Text has its own Color and Background buttons in the top bar. Fill or back your words with a solid colour, gradient, mesh, pattern, texture or any photo from the library, with controls for framing, zoom and a tint that keeps the text readable.
- Shadows now stack up to six layers, with ready-made looks like Soft, Lift, Neon and Glitch, and a shadow can be a gradient. Outlines gain thickness presets, dashed and dotted lines and gradient colours, and the Curve control now also sits in the text top bar.
- Animations can now play letter by letter, word by word or line by line, with a choice of easing and strength and one-click style presets.
- Gradient angles are set with a dial you can drag, and conic gradients can finally be rotated. A Fonts drawer opens from the text bar, and stock-photo searches you've already run come back instantly.
- New text lands in the middle of the page instead of stuck to the top, text no longer gets clipped after you change its font, and the selection toolbar no longer covers the rotate handle.
One Studio editor, better with Arabic
Design Studio
- Studio now has one editor. Opening Studio takes you straight to it, and every link to your designs, shared designs and templates opens there.
- Adding a Quran verse is quicker: verses, translations and tafsir now load from Quran Gallery's own copy of the text. Every colour setting — verse text, curved text, table cells — uses the same full picker with solid, gradient and mesh options, and the top bar gains quick opacity and justify controls.
- Find & Replace now matches whole Arabic words, with an option to ignore diacritics, and typing with an Arabic keyboard no longer triggers shortcuts mid-word. You can also hold Alt and drag to duplicate an object.
- Exports are cleaner: a watermark no longer carries over onto other pages or designs and comes out crisp, and barcodes stay sharp at high resolution so they still scan.
- QR codes and barcodes have their own colour and background panels, and a new General tab in the top bar gathers lock and other settings in one place.
- Changing the page background or canvas size can now be undone, and new or pasted text no longer stacks one word per line.
Studio gains a full toolbox
Design Studio
- Studio’s new editor exports your design as PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, PDF, Photoshop or video. Choose the quality and up to 4× resolution, export with a transparent background, just the selection or a range of pages — or copy the image straight to your clipboard.
- It now also has everything the old editor did: Quran verses with tajweed, the 99 Names generator, editable tables, AI background removal, page animations with Play All, and a shapes and graphics library. The Draw panel, QR codes, the photo, GIPHY and uploads library, decorative frames, resizing in pixels, millimetres or inches, and a history panel that jumps back to any earlier step are all there.
- New drawing tools: a pen for drawing your own curves, stars and polygons with adjustable points, and Combine Shapes to merge, subtract or intersect two shapes from the top bar or the right-click menu. Cropping now happens right on the canvas, and you can drag a gradient’s handles directly on your design.
- Bulk Create turns one design into many: link text to rows of data and Studio makes one page per row. Magic Resize fits a design to a new size while keeping corner logos in their corners, Recolor swaps a colour across the whole design, and Find & Replace works inside tables.
- Text can shrink to fit its box, layers get blend modes next to opacity, and image frames let you drop a photo into a circle or shape. Copy and paste a style between objects, and Tidy Up arranges a messy selection into a neat grid.
- Undo is much more dependable: changes made from panels and the top bar can now be undone, and effects, image backgrounds and masks no longer vanish after an undo. GIPHY stickers in older designs now come back when you open them instead of disappearing.
