Quran Gallery Changelog

June 2026

June brought Mirath, an inheritance calculator for all four Sunni schools, and Meet for video sessions. Chat answers now open working tools inside the reply, Adhkar was redesigned, Rijal became a book library, and Studio gained saved designs and text effects.

Mirath and Meet open, and chat answers gain live tools

Two new apps opened this month. Mirath works out an Islamic inheritance step by step and shows where the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i and Hanbali schools agree or differ. Meet gives you a video room with screen sharing that invited guests can join from a link, and by the end of the month hosts could run a waiting room and decide who may speak.

Chat answers stopped being only text. When you ask about an inheritance, a set of duas, a verse or today’s prayer times, the answer now includes the real calculator, dua cards, verse text or timetable from our other apps, so the numbers and wording come from the source rather than from the AI.

Several apps got a fresh look. Adhkar was redesigned around calm category tiles and duas titled by their benefit, Rijal turned into a research library you can browse page by page, and the Quran app added a recitation check that follows along as you read aloud.

Studio, the design editor, had its busiest month: designs now save to your account and can be shared by link, there are thousands of searchable templates, and new tools arrived for curved text, 3D text effects, masks, rulers and live data. The month closed with clearer dark mode across the suite.

In short

  • Mirath, a new inheritance calculator, compares all four Sunni schools side by side and is available in seven languages.
  • Meet lets you start a video session with screen sharing and send a link so guests can join without an account.
  • Chat answers can now show a working inheritance calculator, dua collection, Quran verse card or prayer timetable right inside the reply.
  • Adhkar was redesigned so each category has its own icon and every dua leads with the benefit it brings.
  • The Quran app can now listen as you recite and mark each word as correct, mispronounced or missed.
  • Studio saves your designs to your account, keeps their version history and lets you share them by link.

Clearer dark mode and easier text effects

Across the suite

  • Dark mode is easier to read across every app: faint grey text, accent links and coloured buttons were brightened until they pass accessibility contrast standards, and form fields and switches now have borders you can see.
  • Headings now scale smoothly between phone and desktop widths, and Arabic headings no longer get letter spacing that pulled their joined letters apart.
  • Printing a page while in dark mode now gives you dark text on white paper instead of faint grey text.

Design Studio

  • Double-click a styled text effect in Studio and it turns into ordinary editable text with the full font toolbar. When you click away, the effect is redrawn with your new words.

A recitation check, meeting hosts in control, and Studio’s text tools

Quran Reader

  • A new recitation check at /quran/recite listens while you read aloud. Pick a surah and starting verse, and each word lights up as correct, mispronounced, missed or wrong as you go, moving on to the next verses automatically. It needs you to be signed in, and you can choose which microphone to use.
  • Mushaf fonts now recover on their own after a dropped or slow connection. Before, one network hiccup could leave a page stuck in the plain fallback script until you reloaded. Slow mobile connections get more time before a retry, and a verse-shaped placeholder shows while the page loads.

Meet

  • Hosts now have People and Host panels. Choose an open, moderated or presentation-style session, turn guests’ microphones, cameras, screen sharing or chat on and off, and let people in from a waiting room with ask-to-join.
  • Sessions now last up to 40 minutes, with a visible countdown before the room closes. If you allow your microphone but block your camera, you now join with your microphone on instead of seeing a permission error.

Design Studio

  • A New Design panel lets you pick orientation, width and height before you start, and Studio now warns you before you close or reload a design with unsaved changes.
  • Text can be curved with a single slider, from flat to a full circle, and images can now be bent along an arc too. A new Text Effects grid adds styled lettering such as 3D depth, bevel, drip and outline.
  • Rulers now give you guides you can drag out, move and delete, and objects snap by their edges or centre to guides and the canvas edges while you move or resize them. Guides are saved with your design.
  • Image filters now preview on your own picture, with new greyscale modes and a gradient blend. Masks can be edited and applied again, and drawing brushes can paint with gradients.
  • Studio’s library grew to 484 graphics, more than 12,000 icons, 50 textures and recolourable frames. You can type an exact value next to any slider, with px, cm, mm, inches or points for sizes.
  • If something goes wrong in My Designs, such as renaming, copying or sharing, you now see a message saying why instead of nothing happening.

Meet opens, and apps you can install

Meet

  • Meet is a new app for video sessions at qurangallery.com/meet. Check your camera and microphone before you join, share your screen, chat during the call and switch devices without leaving.
  • Signed-in users can start a session, and anyone with the invite link can join one that is already running, even without an account.

Across the suite

  • Prayer, Quran, Adhkar, Listen and Nazira can now each be installed to your phone or desktop as their own app.
  • Links to Quran Gallery shared on social media and in messaging apps now show a proper preview image instead of a broken one.

Accounts

  • If Google or Quran.com sign-in fails, you now land back on the sign-in page with a clear message in your language, including a specific explanation when the email is already linked to another account. Before, you saw a bare error code.

Design Studio

  • Select an image and a toolbar now offers Background, Filter, Crop, Mask, Flip and Remove Background in one place.
  • Every colour control in Studio now offers solid colours, gradients and mesh gradients, including outlines, table cells and text.
  • Text and images can show live data: paste a shared Google Sheets link or another data source, pick a field and row, and filter or format the values. The weather block now lets you search for any city.
  • On smaller screens, the left sidebar now opens over the canvas instead of squeezing it. The selection toolbar appears reliably the first time you click an object.

Mirath arrives and chat answers come with tools

Mirath

  • Mirath is a new Islamic inheritance calculator at qurangallery.com/mirath. Enter who passed away and the estate, tap to add the surviving family members, and see each heir’s share as an amount or a fraction, with a worked calculation showing how it was reached.
  • You can switch between the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i and Hanbali schools beside the result and see where they agree or differ. Example families, plain-language rules, an FAQ and learning pages help you check your case.
  • Mirath is available in English, Arabic, Urdu, Indonesian, Turkish, Bengali and French.

AI Chatbot

  • Ask about an inheritance and the answer now opens the Mirath calculator already filled in with the family you described. The shares come from the calculator, not the AI, and you can carry your case over to the full calculator.
  • Ask for morning, evening, travel or other duas and the answer shows the actual collection with Arabic, translation, transliteration and a tap counter. Quoted verses appear as a card with the exact mushaf text and translation, and asking for prayer times in a city shows today’s real timetable.
  • Answers now quote Arabic sources with full vowel marks next to your language, and Arabic and Urdu text no longer comes out with jumbled punctuation. A message you just sent no longer disappears until you refresh, and if a send fails, the text you typed is put back.
  • You can now stop an answer while it is being written, and retry a voice message that did not go through. Switching away from Arabic now works.
  • The Quran Companion now opens with a gallery of mushafs you can filter by riwayah. The AI now knows exactly which verses are on your page, and the Companion is available in all seven languages.

Daily Adhkar

  • Adhkar has a new, calmer home page with search, a suggestion that fits the time of day, and your streak at the top. All 41 categories now show their own icon instead of a placeholder letter.
  • Each dua now opens with a title saying what it is for, along with how many times to repeat it. Categories that hold other categories now show what is inside instead of an empty list.
  • Searching in Arabic or Urdu now finds translated duas, where it used to return nothing. Favourites, tasbeeh and progress pages are now fully translated.

Rijal

  • Rijal, the app for studying hadith narrators at qurangallery.com/rijal, is now a research library, starting with Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir. Browse its biographies as a searchable directory, or read the scanned volumes page by page with the text beside each scan.

Prayer

  • Prayer tracking works properly now. Logging a prayer, the monthly heatmap colours and the perfect-day stars had been failing without any warning, and late-night logs no longer land on the wrong day.
  • On a shared device, your prayer log is no longer stored for offline use where the next person could see it.

Across the suite

  • Choosing a language now sticks across every app. Links that include a language, such as /quran/ur, open correctly instead of showing “page not found”, and pages no longer switch back to the language you had before.

Design Studio

  • Sign in and Studio saves your designs to your account under My Designs, with version history and Make a Copy. Share a design by link so others can open their own copy, and upload your own images to use in it.
  • The template library grew to more than 5,000 designs, with a Trending row and search that still finds “coffee” when you type “cofee”.
  • Add QR codes for links, email, phone, text messages, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp and social profiles, and style them like any other object. Swap a selected image for another photo or upload in one click.
  • Arabic text can be switched to right-to-left, and live clocks can show any time zone and the date. Export gained a file name field, a 4× size option and custom mask shapes for images.

A fuller design editor in Studio

Design Studio

  • Studio’s Templates tab now shows real previews in a tidy grid, with search always visible and a filter for categories.
  • Text got a full toolbar: a searchable font picker, upper and lower case, spacing, and effects such as outline, shadow, gradient and 28 textures.
  • You can now animate your designs: give each object its own entrance, choose its speed and delay, and arrange a sequence across the whole page from 18 animation styles.
  • The Elements, Frame, Draw and Layers panels were rebuilt, and Media now holds your library and uploads in one photo grid.
