  • Dua of the Evening of ʿArafah

    Transliteration
Allāhumma rabbi, al-ḥamdu laka, al-ḥamdu kamā naqūlu, wa khayru mā naqūlu, laka ṣalātī wa nusukī wa maḥyāya wa mamātī, wa ilayka maʾābī, wa ilayka thawābī, aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābi-l-qabri wa waswasatihi, wa shatāti-l-amri. Allāhumma innī asʾaluka min khayri mā tajīʾu bihi-r-riyāḥu, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā tajīʾu bihi-r-riyāḥu.
    Meaning
O Allah, my Lord, to You is all praise, praise as we say it, and the best of what we say. To You are my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death, and to You is my return, and to You is my reward. I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave and its whispering, and from the scattering of affairs. O Allah, I ask You for the good of what the winds bring, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what the winds bring.
