Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the final return.” Allah does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. It has what it has earned, and against it is what it has incurred. “Our Lord, do not hold us to account if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not lay on us a heavy burden as You laid on those before us. Our Lord, do not make us carry what we have no strength for. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. Meaning
Praise be to Allah, who sent down the Book to His servant and placed no crookedness in it. It is upright, to warn of severe punishment from Him, and to give good news to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a fair reward, staying in it forever; and to warn those who say, “Allah has taken a son.” They have no knowledge of this, nor had their forefathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; they say nothing but a lie. Perhaps you would destroy yourself with grief over their tracks if they do not believe in this message. Indeed, We made whatever is on the earth an adornment for it, to test which of them is best in deed. And indeed, We will turn all that is on it into barren dry ground. Or do you think that the people of the Cave and the Inscription were a wonder among Our signs? When the youths took refuge in the cave they said: “Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself, and prepare for us right guidance in our affair.”

O Allah, You have asked of me from myself what I cannot control except through You, so grant me from it what pleases You. O Allah, You are my reliance when my hope in my deeds is cut off, and You are my hope when my opinion of myself turns bad. O Allah, do not disappoint my hope, and do not make my fear come true. O Allah, You have taken hold of my heart and my forelock, and You have not given me ownership of anything of them; so as You have done that with them, guide me to the straight path. O Allah, Your resolve is a resolve that is not turned back, and Your word is a word that does not lie; so command Your obedience to settle in every part of me, forever as long as I live. O Allah, Your resolve is a resolve that is not turned back, and Your word is a word that does not lie; so command Your acts of disobedience to leave every part of me, then forbid them from entering any part of me, forever as long as You keep me alive, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

O Allah, I guard myself with You from the evil of all who possess evil among those You have created, and I take shelter with You from them. I ask You as the destitute asks, and I plead to You as the lowly sinner pleads, and I call upon You as the fearful and afflicted one calls, whose neck has humbled itself to You, whose eyes have overflowed for You, whose body has been humbled before You, and whose nose has been rubbed in the dust for You.
