- 2:97 Al-Baqarah قُلْ مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّجِبْرِيلَ فَإِنَّهُۥ نَزَّلَهُۥ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ Say [Prophet], ‘If anyone is an enemy of Gabriel- who by God’s leave brought down the Quran to your heart confirming previous scriptures as a guide and good news for the faithful-
- 2:98 Al-Baqarah مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّلَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَىٰلَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَدُوٌّ لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ if anyone is an enemy of God, His angels and His messengers, of Gabriel and Michael, then God is certainly the enemy of such disbelievers.’
- 53:5 An-Najm عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلْقُوَىٰ It was taught to him by [an angel] with mighty powers
- 53:6 An-Najm ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ and great strength, who stood
- 53:7 An-Najm وَهُوَ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ on the highest horizon
- 53:8 An-Najm ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ and then approached––coming down
- 53:9 An-Najm فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ until he was two bow-lengths away or even closer––
- 53:10 An-Najm فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ مَآ أَوْحَىٰ and revealed to God’s servant what He revealed.
- 53:13 An-Najm وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ A second time he saw him:
- 66:4 At-Tahrim إِن تَتُوبَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوبُكُمَا ۖ وَإِن تَظَـٰهَرَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ وَصَـٰلِحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ ظَهِيرٌ If both of you [wives] repent to God––for your hearts have deviated––[all will be well]; if you collaborate against him, [be warned that] God will aid him, as will Gabriel and all righteous believers, and the angels too will back him.
- 81:19 At-Takwir إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ this is the speech of a noble messenger,
- 81:20 At-Takwir ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ who possesses great strength and is held in honour by the Lord of the Throne––
- 81:21 At-Takwir مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ he is obeyed there and worthy of trust.
- 81:23 At-Takwir وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ he did see him on the clear horizon.
