Romans الروم
Romans (الروم) are an ancient people who are mentioned in Quran, in verse (30:2). A chapter of the Quran is also named after the Romans.
Versets
- 30:2 Ar-Rum غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ The Byzantines have been defeated
- 30:3 Ar-Rum فِىٓ أَدْنَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ in a nearby land. They will reverse their defeat with a victory
- 30:4 Ar-Rum فِى بِضْعِ سِنِينَ ۗ لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِنۢ بَعْدُ ۚ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ in a few years’ time––God is in command, first and last. On that day, the believers will rejoice
