The transition of time is consistently depicted as a physical movement over the earth's surface. God states that He "wraps the night around the day and the day around the night" (39:5). The Arabic phrasing here involves a coiling or winding motion, illustrating a continuous spherical transition rather than a flat switch from light to dark. Do not bow down in worship to the sun or the moon, but bow down to God who created them, if it is truly Him that you worship (41:37).
