- 2:79 البقرة فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَـٰذَا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَشْتَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا كَتَبَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا يَكْسِبُونَ So woe to those who write something down with their own hands and then claim, ‘This is from God,’ in order to make some small gain. Woe to them for what their hands have written! Woe to them for all that they have earned!
- 38:27 ص وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَـٰطِلًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ It was not without purpose that We created the heavens and the earth and everything in between. That may be what the disbelievers assume- how they will suffer from the Fire!-
- 39:22 الزمر أَفَمَن شَرَحَ ٱللَّهُ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَـٰمِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْقَـٰسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ What about the one whose heart God has opened in devotion to Him, so that he walks in light from his Lord? Alas for those whose hearts harden at the mention of God! They have clearly lost their way.
- 41:6 فصلت قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ۗ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ Say [Prophet], ‘I am only a mortal like you, [but] it has been revealed to me that your God is One. Take the straight path to Him and seek His forgiveness. Woe to the idolaters,
- 41:7 فصلت ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَـٰفِرُونَ who do not pay the prescribed alms and refuse to believe in the world to come!
- 43:65 الزخرف فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ Yet still the different factions among them disagreed- woe to the evildoers: they will suffer the torment of a grievous day!-
- 45:7 الجاثية وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ Woe to every lying sinful person
- 45:8 الجاثية يَسْمَعُ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ who hears God’s revelations being recited to him, yet persists in his arrogance as if he had never heard them––[Prophet] bring him news of a painful torment!––
- 45:9 الجاثية وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا شَيْـًٔا ٱتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ who, if he knows anything about Our revelations, ridicules it! Such people will have a humiliating torment:
- 47:20 محمد وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ ۖ فَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُّحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا ٱلْقِتَالُ ۙ رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ ٱلْمَغْشِىِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ فَأَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ Those who believe ask why no sura [about fighting] has been sent down. Yet when a decisive sura [that mentions fighting] is sent down, you can see the sick at heart looking at you [Prophet] and visibly fainting at the prospect of death- better for them
- 51:60 الذاريات فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ and woe betide those who deny the truth on the Day they have been promised.
- 52:11 الطور فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe on that Day to those who deny the Truth,
- 52:12 الطور ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ who amuse themselves with idle chatter:
- 77:15 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:19 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:24 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:28 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:34 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:37 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:40 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:45 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:47 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 77:49 المرسلات وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth!
- 83:1 المطففين وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ Woe to those who give short measure,
- 83:2 المطففين ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ who demand of other people full measure for themselves,
- 83:3 المطففين وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ but give less than they should when it is they who weigh or measure for others!
- 83:4 المطففين أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ Do these people not realize that they will be raised up
- 83:5 المطففين لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ on a mighty Day,
- 83:6 المطففين يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ a Day when everyone will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
- 83:10 المطففين وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ Woe on that day to the deniers,
- 104:1 الهمزة وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ Woe to every fault-finding backbiter
- 104:2 الهمزة ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ who amasses riches, counting them over,
