- 2:97 البقرة قُلْ مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّجِبْرِيلَ فَإِنَّهُۥ نَزَّلَهُۥ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ Say [Prophet], ‘If anyone is an enemy of Gabriel- who by God’s leave brought down the Quran to your heart confirming previous scriptures as a guide and good news for the faithful-
- 2:98 البقرة مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّلَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَىٰلَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَدُوٌّ لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ if anyone is an enemy of God, His angels and His messengers, of Gabriel and Michael, then God is certainly the enemy of such disbelievers.’
- 53:5 النجم عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلْقُوَىٰ It was taught to him by [an angel] with mighty powers
- 53:6 النجم ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ and great strength, who stood
- 53:7 النجم وَهُوَ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ on the highest horizon
- 53:8 النجم ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ and then approached––coming down
- 53:9 النجم فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ until he was two bow-lengths away or even closer––
- 53:10 النجم فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ مَآ أَوْحَىٰ and revealed to God’s servant what He revealed.
- 53:13 النجم وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ A second time he saw him:
- 66:4 التحريم إِن تَتُوبَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوبُكُمَا ۖ وَإِن تَظَـٰهَرَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ وَصَـٰلِحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ ظَهِيرٌ If both of you [wives] repent to God––for your hearts have deviated––[all will be well]; if you collaborate against him, [be warned that] God will aid him, as will Gabriel and all righteous believers, and the angels too will back him.
- 81:19 التكوير إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ this is the speech of a noble messenger,
- 81:20 التكوير ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ who possesses great strength and is held in honour by the Lord of the Throne––
- 81:21 التكوير مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ he is obeyed there and worthy of trust.
- 81:23 التكوير وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ he did see him on the clear horizon.
