وَلَقَدْ
أَرْسَلْنَآ
إِلَىٰٓ
أُمَمٍۢ
مِّن
قَبْلِكَ
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُم
بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ
وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ
لَعَلَّهُمْ
يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
٤٢
We sent messengers before you [Prophet] to many communities and afflicted their people with suffering and hardships, so that they could learn humility.
