Laylat al-Qadr 2026 di Philippines

The exact date of Laylat al-Qadr is not definitively known. The Prophet (PBUH) instructed Muslims to seek it in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th nights). While the 27th night is most commonly observed, many scholars encourage worshipping on all odd nights of the last ten days to ensure catching this blessed night.

Hadith describe several signs: the night is calm and serene, neither too hot nor too cold; the moon appears like half a plate; and the sun rises the following morning without strong rays, appearing pale. However, the Prophet (PBUH) emphasized seeking this night through worship rather than looking for signs. The primary sign is a sense of tranquility and peace.

The Prophet (PBUH) recommended spending the night in prayer (qiyam al-layl), reciting the Quran, making abundant dua, and seeking forgiveness. When Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet what to say if she found Laylat al-Qadr, he taught her: "Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'anni" (O Allah, You are the Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me). Many Muslims perform I'tikaf (seclusion in the mosque) during the last ten days.
