The People the Qur'an Calls Its Own
A hadith in Ibn Mājah names "the people of the Qur'an" as Allah's own people — and a verse in Sūrat al-Isrā' explains why the same recitation can either heal or cost someone more than it gave them.

A copy read every day for a year looks different from one still in its wrapping: softer spine, thumbed corners, a ribbon that has moved. The wear is evidence of return, not decoration.
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا And We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers — and it increases the wrongdoers in nothing but loss.
Two outcomes, one recitation. The difference was never in the sound of the words. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put a name on those who keep returning to it:
إِنَّ لِلَّهِ أَهْلِينَ مِنْ النَّاسِ. قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَنْ هُمْ؟ قَالَ: هُمْ أَهْلُ الْقُرْآنِ، أَهْلُ اللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتُهُ “Allah has people among mankind.” They asked, “Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He said, “They are the people of the Qur’an — the people of Allah and His chosen ones.”

Being counted among them is not a matter of owning a copy. It is the habit of opening it.
