Acknowledging That Every Blessing Is From Allah

O Allah, whatever blessing has come to me this morning, or to any of Your creation, is from You alone; You have no partner. So all praise belongs to You, and all thanks are Yours.

Allāhumma mā aṣbaḥa bī min niʿmatin aw bi-aḥadin min khalqika, fa-minka waḥdaka lā sharīka laka, fa-laka-l-ḥamdu wa-laka-sh-shukr.

Praising Allah for Food, Drink and Shelter

All praise is for Allah, who fed us and gave us drink, who sufficed us and gave us shelter. For how many there are who have no one to suffice them and no one to shelter them.

O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive as long as You know life is better for me, and take me when You know death is better for me. O Allah, I ask You for fear of You in the unseen and the seen; for the word of truth in contentment and in anger; for moderation in poverty and in wealth; for a blessing that never ends; for a comfort of the eye that never ceases; for contentment after Your decree; for a cool, easy life after death; for the pleasure of looking at Your Face and the longing to meet You, without harm that injures or trial that misleads. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are rightly guided.

Praise be to Allah, who is never abandoned, never repaid, never denied, and never done without. Praise be to Allah, who gave food to eat and drink to drink, clothed after nakedness, guided out of misguidance, gave sight in place of blindness, and gave great favor above many of His creation. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

O Allah, I ask You for contentment after the decree, the coolness of life after death, the delight of looking upon Your Face, and a longing to meet You, without any harmful hardship or misleading trial. And I seek refuge in You from wronging or being wronged, from transgressing or being transgressed against, or from earning a sin or an offence that You do not forgive.

Dua After the Adhan Declaring Contentment with Allah and Islam

I am content with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as Prophet, with the Qur'an as guide, and with the Kaʿbah as qiblah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, write this testimony of mine in ʿIlliyyin, make Your near angels witness to it, and Your sent prophets, and Your righteous servants, and seal it with Amen, and make it for me a covenant with You which You will fulfil for me on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not break the promise.

Raḍītu bi-llāhi rabban, wa bi-l-islāmi dīnan, wa bi-Muḥammadin ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa sallama nabiyyan, wa bi-l-qurʾāni imāman, wa bi-l-kaʿbati qiblatan, ashhadu an lā ilāha illā llāhu, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluhu, Allāhumma-ktub shahādatī hādhihi fī ʿilliyyīna, wa ashhid ʿalayhā malāʾikataka-l-muqarrabīna, wa anbiyāʾaka-l-mursalīna, wa ʿibādaka-ṣ-ṣāliḥīna, wa-khtim ʿalayhā bi-āmīna, wa-jʿalhā lī ʿindaka ʿahdan tuwaffīnīhi yawma-l-qiyāmati, innaka lā tukhlifu-l-mīʿāda

Dua to Fear Allah, Be Content and Be Helped Against Wrongdoers

O Allah, make me fear You as though I see You, always, until I meet You. Make me happy through fear of You, and do not make me wretched through disobedience to You. Choose what is good for me in Your decree, and bless me in Your destiny, so that I do not love hastening what You have delayed, nor delaying what You have hastened. Place my richness in my soul, let me enjoy my hearing and my sight, and make them my heir. Help me against the one who wronged me, and show me my vengeance on him, so that my eye may be cooled by that.

Supplication on Leaving Home When Livelihood Is Hard

In the name of Allah, upon myself, my wealth and my religion. O Allah, make me content with Your decree, and bless me in what You have ordained, so that I do not love hastening what You have delayed, nor delaying what You have hastened.

Bismi-llāhi ʿalā nafsī wa mālī wa dīnī, Allāhumma raḍḍinī bi-qaḍāʾika, wa bārik lī fī qadarika, ḥattā lā uḥibba taʿjīla mā akhkharta wa lā taʾkhīra mā ʿajjalta.

Praising Allah After Finishing a Meal

O Allah, all praise is Yours. You fed and gave drink, You satisfied and quenched. So Yours is the praise, never denied, never abandoned, never dispensed with.

Allāhumma laka-l-ḥamdu, aṭʿamta wa asqayta, wa ashbaʿta wa arwayta, fa-laka-l-ḥamdu ghayra makfūrin wa lā muwaddaʿin wa lā mustaghnan ʿanhu.
