Glorifying Allah
سُبْحَـٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ
English
Glory be to You, O Allah.
Subḥānaka-llāhumma
Reference
- Qur'an 10:10
Explanation
Subḥānaka allāhumma glorifies Allah, declaring Him free of every deficiency, and calls on Him directly with allāhumma, ‘O Allah’. In the given verse it is described as their call there, followed by their greeting, which is salām (peace), and the last of their call is praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. It serves as a short phrase of tasbīḥ addressed straight to Allah.
